Like other special walls, Regice is now in the difficult position of competing with absurdly powerful special attackers like Azelf and Porygon-Z, as well as a variety of Choice Specs Pokémon. As such, Regice needs to keep itself alive as long as possible. One way of doing that is this set. The last move is up to preference and team needs. Thunderbolt completes the "BoltBeam" combo and helps against Water-types, especially Gyarados. Seismic Toss ensures KOs against sturdy opponents like Calm Mind Raikou, who can boost its Special Defense to insane levels and block Ice Beam. Choosing a status move limits Regice's offensive abilities and therefore quite risky, but Thunder Wave is its best shot at crippling the likes of Azelf, who can survive two Ice Beams most of the time. Toxic is a decent alternative to wear down sturdy opponents like Dusknoir. Unfortunately, Sleep Talk may pick a status move at the wrong time, so you'll usually want to load up on offensive moves.

BoltBeam Regice takes a more offensive approach than the Sleep Talker set. Without Rest and Sleep Talk you've got two free moveslots to play with. Thunder Wave is recommended to slow down speedy sweepers like Infernape and Azelf.
Psych Up helps against Calm Minders like Raikou and Suicune (if it doesn't have Roar), while Focus Punch will easily OHKO Weavile, 2HKOs Tyranitar, and does around 35% to Blissey. Hammer Arm can work too, but it doesn't guarantee the OHKO on Weavile, nor the 2HKO on Tyranitar.
The lack of recovery is a problem with this set, so you should back this Regice up with some Wish support.

Counter is this set's biggest asset, as after a Curse you can survive all manner of physical assaults—including Choice Band hits from Tyranitar, Metagross, and even Heracross—and reflect them back for a surprise KO.
Avalanche makes sense with Curse, assuming you get the chance to use it. Explosion should KO something after a Curse, but you'll usually be too slow to pull it off after Countering something. If you don't fancy your chances of pulling off Explosion, ThunderPunch can hit Water-types like Gyarados, but Earthquake is an option to hit Fire-types like Heatran and Infernape on the switch, if you spoil the Counter surprise too early.

    Altre Opzioni

Rock Polish for sweeping Regice! Also Charge Beam in place of Thunderbolt for Special Attack boosts. If you want to try sweeping with Regice, good luck. Hidden Power Fire can surprise Scizor and Forretress, plus it does decent damage to Metagross. Hidden Power Ground also hits Metagross in addition to easily 2HKOing Heatran and Magnezone.

    Considerazioni

Regice hasn't changed much, but the game around it has changed a lot. It's a grim new world for Regice, who is weak to Stealth Rock and lacks an effective form of healing. Still, it can take hits pretty well—even a Nasty Plot Adaptability Porygon-Z Tri Attack will leave Regice standing with plenty to spare.

    Counters

Tyranitar, Heracross, Snorlax, and Metagross will make Regice flee for its life. The Counter set is a nasty surprise for them—as is a Focus Punch / Hammer Arm in Tyranitar's case—but more often than not, they will come out on top, since you're more likely to be facing Regice packing the more standard sets. Watch out for Electivire, who can grab boosts from Electric attacks, and start firing off Cross Chop. Most Fighting-types can beat it, especially Hariyama who can sponge Ice attacks with Thick Fat or absorb status with Guts. Dusknoir can stall out your attacking PP with Pressure and Pain Split, while laughing off Ice Beams. Blissey vs. Regice often degenerates into a stall war if Regice has Rest, but otherwise Regice has problems finishing her off before she wears Regice down with Seismic Toss.
